Introducing Insomnia’s Visual Artist Series

insomnia restaurant and lounge artist series bloor street west toronto ontario

Insomnia Restaurant & Lounge has always been a space for community and creativity with our dynamic DJ nights and impressive art pieces displayed on our walls. Now, we’re excited to officially launch our Artist Series, an ongoing celebration of artistry and connection that invites our guests to experience exceptional work from a variety of talented artists year-round.

The series features rotating exhibits, with artwork displayed on our front, side, and back walls for a period of five weeks. Guests can meet the artists during the opening and closing parties, learn about their creative journeys, and purchase artwork at any time during the exhibit. You can also view all featured pieces on our website, explore artist details, and conveniently make purchases via e-transfer or credit card.

We’re thrilled to bring this initiative to life and invite you to join us in celebrating the incredible talent on display. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter for updates on featured artists, event details, and opportunities to own these amazing pieces.

Bold, energetic, authentic and original.

“My art has its own style, which I describe as authentic, bold and energetic.

The finished work is definitely abstract, but the subject matter is derived from real life.

Having said that, for the most part, I have no desire to recreate what I see. My art comes from a place filled with the need to create. I reinterpret my influences and experiences into abstract images. Architecture, technology, pop culture, music, art, politics, fashion and the challenges or triumphs I have experienced, all play a part in what I create.” — John Courtney.
