Saturdays - The Annex Sessions

Insomnia Restaurant and Lounge presents The Annex Sessions, a Saturday night series curated by local producer / DJ Oreku.

Featuring local and touring DJs with tasteful eclectic selections to lounge, dine and dance.

No cover. Music begins at 10pm until 2am.

Oreku is a producer, DJ and label head of Stereo Ferment whose sound is
focused on the cultural crossroads of dance music. Often with an emphasis on disco, psych funk, house, techno and tropical club sounds.
With two EP’s and multiple singles Oreku has garnered support from a global network of DJs and radio hosts with frequent features on PBS 106.7, Worldwide FM, Netil Radio, Soho Radio and NTS to name a few.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia now based in Toronto, Canada, Oreku aka Cayden Mowbray has established himself on the Toronto scene with a unique style of genre fluidity that keeps a dancefloor fresh and lively. Having played multiple festivals and clubs throughout North America, Central America and Australia, Oreku consistently aims to excite a crowd with sounds of the unfamiliar.

While producing music, hosting events and running the Stereo Ferment record label, Oreku likes to keep a steadfast approach to the contribution of Toronto's music culture.

Frequently collaborating with local and international artists, Oreku has shared the bill with renowned touring acts such as Ghetto Kumbé, Altin Gün, Dauwd, Habibi Funk, Dana Ruh and Eli Escobar.
